Lebanon was founded in 1804 and has a rich history as one of the oldest cities in the state. Famous residents include country singer David Allan Coe and former NFL player Kevin Gogan. The city’s landmark is called “The Rock”, which was designed by architect James Brown Lord and built in 1919-1920 as a memorial to soldiers who fell during World War I (1914-1918).
